Susan Kong, viola
Susan grew up in the tropical realm of Honolulu, Hawaii and despite her constant complaint of the Boston weather, she would not give it up for anywhere else in the world. She began playing the piano at age four and picked up the viola during middle school, and has been participating in school orchestras and chamber groups since. During her undergraduate years at MIT, Susan studied Chemistry, Biology and Music while participating in the MIT Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Music Society. Fun fact: she has a Bachelor's of Science in Music instead of Bachelor's of Arts. After making a big move across the Charles during the summer of 2021, she is now working as a research assistant in a structural biology lab at Harvard Medical School studying influenza vaccines and immunology.
