Sara García Linares

Sara received her violin degree from Professional Music Conservatory Rodolfo Halffter (Madrid, Spain), where she took lessons with Mª Dolores Encina Guzmán. She attended Complutense University of Madrid to study biochemistry. In 2010 she joined Mostoles City Orchestra and Rodolfo Halffter Alumni Orchestra. She also played with Akademiska Orkestern (Turku, Finland) in 2014 and 2015. Sara got her Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology in Madrid and is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard Medical School, where she studies the hedgehog signaling pathway, implicated in embryonic development and associated with different diseases when malfunctioning. She lives in Brookline and enjoys reading and movies.
