Peter Belknap

In addition to the Brookline Symphony, Peter plays tuba with several Boston-area groups, including the New England Philharmonic Orchestra, Bay Colony Brass, Mystic Brass Ensemble, Brookline Community Band, and Calliope Music. He played French horn in school and college and played in the New England Philharmonic from 2002 to 2004, during a break from his software development career. In 2018 he took up the tuba as a pre-retirement project, and was instantly hooked on the lower octaves. He is a student of Kenneth Amis.
