Page de Camara, violin
Page de Camara began private piano instruction at age three, and then violin instruction at age six. She received her Bachelors in violin performance at the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University in North Carolina in 2005. Her primary violin instructor has been Dr. Nancy Bargerstock, a pupil of Ivan Galamian at the Juilliard School of Music. Page has been concertmaster of the Appalachian Chamber Orchestra as well as the Appalachian Symphony Orchestra. At age fifteen, Page toured China as associate concertmaster of the Chicago Protégé Philharmonic giving joint concerts with the Beijing Philharmonic. After receiving her Bachelors degree in 2005, she went to Chicago and studied with Rong-Yan Tang, a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and helped to found the Artesian String Quartet. Page was selected to be first violinist of the Graduate String Quartet of the Hayes School of Music, where she was coached by the Juilliard String Quartet on two occasions through chamber music competitions. In 2008, she returned to North Carolina while playing first violin of the Graduate String Quartet and completing her coursework in the Masters Program of Marriage and Family Therapy at Appalachian State University. Page is also an attorney and was admitted to the Massachusetts State Bar in 2011. Currently, Page is Principal Second Violin of the Brookline Symphony Orchestra and she works at Oracle as an ETR Deal Manager.
