Matthew Groves
Matthew Groves, bass trombone, is originally from Newberg, Oregon, and has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Music from Oregon State University. In Boston, Matthew has performed with the Longwood Symphony Orchestra, MIT Symphony Orchestra, and 7 Hills Renaissance Wind Band on bass sackbut. Prior to moving to Boston, he performed with the Corvallis-OSU Symphony Orchestra, Salem Chamber Orchestra, and numerous other groups in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. His teachers include Henry Henniger, Warren Baker, David Bryan, and Ken Clark. Matthew currently works as a Software Engineering Senior Manager leading teams developing mobile apps at Accenture, and lives in Belmont with his wife Elise and son Michael.
