Marc Pasciucco, cello, is originally from West Hartford, CT and has degrees from Swarthmore College (B.A. Music), the London School of Economics (Dip. Business Studies) and Boston University (M.B.A.). His principal teachers include the late Dorothy Fidlar of the Hartt School of Music, Peter Wiley of the Curtis Institute of Music, and he currently studies with Carol Ou of the New England Conservatory. While at Swarthmore, Marc was principal cellist of the college orchestra, a member of the honors string quartet and a winner of the annual concerto competition. Since moving to Boston in 2003, he has performed with the Lexington Symphony, Longwood Symphony, Apollo Ensemble, Lowell House Opera, Mercury Orchestra, the Boston Chamber Symphony and the Brookline Symphony. As a winner of the annual Brookline Symphony Concerto Competition in 2020, Marc performed the Haydn Cello Concerto no. 1 with the orchestra in June 2021. An avid chamber musician, he has been attending the Chamber Music Conference at Bennington College for over 15 years. Outside of music, Marc enjoys tennis, “reading” audio books, and cooking. He currently resides in Brookline with his wife Sarah and two sons, Max and Jamie.
