Julia McGuirk

Julia McGuirk has been involved with music for the better part of her life. Growing up in Randolph, Massachusetts she began playing both horn and piano in elementary school. She received her B.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she also minored in Music Performance on horn and piano. While at UMass she studied horn with Laura Klock and participated in the University Symphony Orchestra and Symphony Band.  

Julia received her MBA from UMass Boston and currently works for the Education Development Center. She has been able to continue fueling her love of music by taking advantage of various playing opportunities in the Boston area, including with the Dudley House Orchestra, Metropolitan Wind Symphony, Mercury Orchestra, and Brookline Symphony Orchestra.
