Hannah Olsen
Hannah joined the Brookline Symphony in 2018. She began playing viola at age eight and is originally from Cleveland, where she studied with James Gomez and Courtney Bonifant. During high school, she played with her school’s Chamber Orchestra as the principal violist, the Contemporary Youth Orchestra, the Akron Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, the Solon Philharmonic Orchestra, and the BBHHS Pit Orchestra; additionally, she performed in the Ohio All-State Orchestra, Northeast Ohio Regional Orchestra, and Ohio University Honors Orchestra. She also enjoys chamber music and continues her quartet performance with the Longwood Symphony Orchestra. She attended Washington University in St. Louis for college, where she studied chemistry and German. After graduating in 2018, she began medical school at Harvard. She hopes to pursue pediatric cardiology. In her free time, she can be found playing tennis, doing research at Boston Children’s Hospital, or exploring the city.
