Alexandra Panov, violin

Alexandra began playing violin at in New York under the tutelage of Olga Dusheina Dougherty of the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra. In high school, she attended the New York All-State Conference and was ranked among the top 15 violinists in New York state. In 2012, she won the Young People's Auditions and performed Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto with the Rockland Symphony Orchestra. Alexandra matriculated to MIT and performed as an Emerson Scholar for 2 years, studying under Valeria Vilker-Kuchment of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Alexandra graduated from MIT in 2017 with degrees in Chemistry and Biology and from Harvard in 2024 with a PhD in Biomedical Sciences. She has performed with many orchestras and chamber groups, including Brookline for several years.
